English as an international language used in communication with people from all walks of life. English plays a very important role in communication including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Every educational institute realizes the importance of using English for communication and encourages its personel to improve English skills, especially listening and speaking skills. Success of learning English that needs to understand the most important element of the study is to memorize the vocabularies. Learning about vocabularies, it is neccessary to learn how to pronounce them and how to place stress on syllable, EFL learners must learn about pronunciation seriously especially about word stress pronunciation. If a speaker does not differentiate between stressed and unstressed syllable or place stress on the wrong syllable, it is very hard for the listener to identify the word. Thai EFL students have still problems of word stress pronunciation without placing stress on the correct syllable of words. One way to help them to improve the correct word stress pronunciation is using online dictionaries in which they can imitate similar word stress as native speakers pronounce.
